Exhibition: RETAIN REPAIR REINVEST Ascot Vale Estate

On Friday 27th May, 2022 at Wingate Avenue Community Centre, Retain Repair Invest launches their proposal for the Ascot Vale estate, advocating for the retention of existing public housing.

The exhibition,  by not-for-profit design and research practice OFFICE showcases an alternative design for the refurbishment of 42 Ascot St, a public housing block within the Ascot Vale Estate. The Estate was built in the 1940s by renowned modernist architect Best Overend, and will be redeveloped over the next 15-20 years as part of the Public Housing Renewal Program.

Retain Repair Reinvest explores alternatives to demolition, relocation and rebuild.
