Australian Youth Humanities Forum
Melbourne School of Design
ACAHUCH hosted this two-day forum to further the discourse around the value of a degree in the humanities and to help combat inequalities in access to higher education. Interactive lectures with fifteen of Australia’s leading public thinkers and humanities practitioners exposed participants to a thought-provoking exchange of ideas targeted at addressing the relationship between creativity, critical thinking and citizenship. Seventy-five Year 10 and 11 students from Victoria, New South Wales, Capital and Northern Territory, attended alongside twenty undergraduate Arts students from the University of Melbourne, the University of Canberra, RMIT and Monash.
