WEBINAR: Polish Aid to Ukrainian Museums & National Heritage amid Russia's Invasion

Many countries are helping Ukraine protect its museum collections and conserve its National Heritage that is threatened, or has been damaged, and destroyed by Russia’s devastating war.

From the very first days of the invasion Polish museum professionals have been active in providing such assistance, and they continue to do the lion’s share of this work.

Hear from those working on the ground, who are directly involved in organising aid, and helping in many other ways, within Poland and in Ukraine.

Speakers include:

  • Dr Piotr Rypson, Chair, ICOM Poland & Curator, Jewish Historical Institute, Warsaw
  • Dr Paweł Ukielski, Deputy Director, The Warsaw Rising Museum
  • Mr Michał Krasucki, Director of the Capital City Heritage Protection Department, Warsaw
  • Prof Dorota Folga-Januszewska, the Academy of Fine Arts, Warsaw, and Deputy Director of Wilanow Palace of King John III Sobieski

Supported by the Australian Institute of Art History (AIAH) and the Centre of Visual Art (CoVA), University of Melbourne
