Much like many programs and events scheduled for 2020, the Robin Boyd Foundation / AIA Awards Open House day in operating in its usual form this year but with a virtual experience for supporters, friends and the architecture & design community.

The ‘virtual’ Open House event will showcase and celebrate shortlisted and award winning projects from around Australia, providing a unique opportunity for the design-curious public and the built environment sector to learn more about the creative process and have an immersive experience with outstanding residential buildings, via a series of videos.

Videos will be available for viewing from Wednesday 8th July.

The annual Open Day contributes greatly to the Foundation’s income and like many cultural organisations they have been severely impacted by Covid-19. By way of a virtual event, instead of mandating tickets, RBF encourages small donations to the Foundation when registering. Your support and involvement enables the Robin Boyd Foundation to continue to provoke and lead critical dialogue on Australian architecture and design.

The Melbourne School of Design has a close partnership with the Robin Boyd Foundation through ACAHUCH Co-Director, Professor Philip Goad, who also serves as Board Member of the Robin Boyd Foundation.
