Dr Alex Bremner
Hailing from Daylesford, Dr Alex Bremner was educated at Deakin University before undertaking his PhD at the University of Cambridge as a Gates Scholar (2001–04). He joined the Faculty of Architecture at the University of Edinburgh in 2005.
His research focuses on the history and theory of Victorian architecture, architecture and empire, national identity and religious architecture. He is the author of Imperial Gothic: Religious Architecture and High Anglican Culture in the British Empire c.1840–70 (Yale University Press), which received several major awards for architectural and British art history. He is also a recipient of the Hawksmoor Medal and the Founders’ Award for outstanding scholarship in architectural history.

Dr Rosemary Hill
Dr Rosemary Hill is a writer, historian and independent scholar whose work explores biography, material culture and the connections between them.
She is the author of two prize-winning books: God’s Architect, a biography of Gothic Revival architect A. W. N. Pugin, and Stonehenge, a history of one of Britain’s greatest and least understood monuments. Her most recent book, Unicorn: The Poetry of Angela Carter, was published in 2015. She is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Literature and the Society of Antiquaries, a member of English Heritage’s Blue Plaques Panel and a trustee of the Pugin Society.

Khoo Salma Nasution is a writer, publisher and social historian, and an advocate for heritage and environmental protection. She is a leading author of Malaysian place histories that bring together social and environmental history.
She is also a co-founder of heritage and sustainability initiatives that advance knowledge and understanding at the intersection of culture, community and environment. Her work explores the connections between culture, community, heritage and the environment, with a particular focus on Malaysia.
