Join us for the opening night of the exhibition 'The Endless Interior: & The Biography of the Emigre (Object)'

Part of an ongoing survey into the oeuvres of European-trained émigré creatives in post-war Victoria, the gallery will turn into a ‘living’ space through student and community interaction in a curatorial laboratory employing AR-technology and 3D scanning to offer new archival encounters with exhibition content - ranging from furniture, sculpture, architecture, art, dance and photography.

Exploring the work and showcasing never-before-seen furniture and interior artefacts from creators such as Schulim Krimper, Sol Shapiro, Ernest Deutsch, Dario Zoureff, Jacob Rudowski, Paul Rosta, Michael Rosta, Karl Duldig and others, the exhibition draws on these narratives to inform collaborative work developed by Critical and Curatorial Practices in Design students through ephemera, artefacts, historical photographs, texts, and film responses.

The exhibition will run from Friday 6th October to Sunday 12th November. Gallery hours are listed and updated regularly on the Glen Eira Council Gallery website.
